Elizabeta’s neck of the woods never saw too many humans, which was probably for the best. Her presence at best tended to cause shock or disapproval from the odd backpacker, & mumbling about ‘hippie nudists’; at worst, it drew unsavoury types too close for their own good. It tended to fluster the rest, discomfort often causing them to quicken their pace through the portion of forest they happen to find her in.
Despite the lack of steadfast company though, Elizabeta never really considered her existence in those woods a particularly lonesome one, or one worth trading for life elsewhere. She had grown accustomed to running into the odd human in passing, those fleeting encounters often being a source of amusement for her (and unfortunately a source of contempt & energy sometimes too). Life in the forest also tended to be quite tranquil in comparison to the busy, crowded human settlements she knew existed beyond the edges of the forest, and its inhabitants tended to be less bothered by state of dress.
Having just suddenly existed one day in these woods, Elizabeta was not human, despite the form her body had taken. It thus made little sense to her to cover herself up unless the temperature fell too much, and even then, she disliked the restrictive feeling of clothing against her skin. Something that flowed & could be easily shed was preferred, if she had to wear something for warmth.
Blending in outside of the woods, however, meant setting such preferences aside. She had come to learn through her interactions with them over the years that humans tended to not be comfortable with nakedness, so she imagined that if she were to wander into town unclothed, she would pose quite a shock. Thankfully she did have an outfit or two tucked away where she slept that she had gotten some time ago from a pair of concerned ladies who had been hiking through. They did the trick whenever she felt inclined to enter into more populated areas.
On the numerous days she did not feel so inclined though, Elizabeta could be found either resting/sleeping in her hollow under the roots of a large tree, or wandering the woods with an appreciative air about her. She was currently doing the latter, though despite the seemingly carefree quality to her stroll, her gaze was also sweeping her domain for signs of unwelcome guests/disturbances. Some creatures were not exactly kind to nature, or safe to coexist with in the same chunk of forest. It was best to try to detect potentially threatening presences early, before damage could be done.
