| Whatever opportunity Alex had to move up within the Family, she would take. Ultimately she craved power, and while she did not have much of it yet she wanted to claw her way up. She was willing to wait and bide her time though. In the meantime she could take out her frustrations on the targets that the higher-ups set. She greatly enjoyed her job working as a sniper for Chronos, and even saw herself in a competition of sorts with another sniper. A 'friendly' competition though..or as close to a friendly competition as Alex could get. She certainly wasn't targeting the other girl, so that was friendly..right?
She did have to side-eye the follow-up when he approached her about a deal..but in the end he made her an offer that she couldn't refuse. Or, rather, she could refuse it, but where was the fun in that? If he didn't want to do the mission himself, she would gladly step in. She could hardly imagine not wanting to get involved in the missions, as other than her own quest for power the missions were the main thing that drew her to this lifestyle in the first place..but to each his own, and this ended up working out for her better in the end. Especially since Lovino offered to sweeten the pot for her. Extra cash? Count her in! Of course they had to be somewhat discreet about their deal..not for Alex's sake, but rather for Lovino's, as he would probably get in trouble for paying off one of the snipers to do a mission that was supposed to be his in the first place.
Fortunately it wasn't that hard to arrange that sort of meeting. Lovino was the follow-up after all, which meant that he held some power and thus could be seen having a private meeting with a 'lower' member and not have it seen as too suspicious. She knocked on the door to the room that Lovino was in. "Here to collect pay!" She called out, figuring that she ought to get straight to the point. She didn't dilly-dally around when it came to making sure that she was compensated for her work.
..that said, Alex enjoyed what she did enough that it didn't always feel like work. Some of the reward was in actually carrying out the missions themselves. The more challenging the better. Despite that, though, she did still need to be able to provide for herself, so she still needed to collect her money. Did Lovino have any other missions that he wanted to pass off to her? She wouldn't be surprised. Hell, if they seemed worthwhile enough, she and Lovino might even be able to start a whole arrangement out of this..extra cash in her pocket for doing something she enjoyed? Of course she was game

"The banker was heading for his interview with the popular television show that would've given the opportunity to greatly increase the popularity of his new idea of investment, when--"
Lovino sighed and turned off the radio on the table when he heard the knocking on the door, followed up with a loud call from the girl Lovino gave the mission of his own in exchange for some payment. The rich banker who was connected to the police forces and had rumors of also holding undercover agents with the ability to sneak into any one of the families, Lovino was informed. Keeping the man alive would've resulted in danger of the family's hideout being discovered, as well as risking another mass capture of the Chronos organization. It was the last thing the follow-up wanted to happen, but knowing his own lack of skills in keeping whoever he shot dead for good, he supposed it was better to give this mission to a member he knew could've handled it on their own. But at the same point, it was to be taken place in the busy city; he didn't want to send his own little brother in case of there being heightened security.
So when Alex agreed to take the mission into her own hands and got it done, according to the news that blared on every radio channel and possibly tv station, Lovino was quite pleased. He heard her call out for her arrival and search for the promised pay and opened the drawer located on the side of his desk.
"Good work, Sagittarius." He started off, pulling out a thick sealed envelope. He pushed it towards her and leaned back in his chair, raising a brow in question. "I hope it wasn't too hard? I heard there was quite a ruckus." Nodding his chin towards the small radio to identify his source of information, he sighed once more. "...Remember, keep your mouth shut of any damn credit... This was my mission, to begin with; that's what that money is for. Speak one word and I'll make sure your brains are blown out."

| Oh good, it already hit the news. That meant he already knew that the hit was a success. The corners of her mouth turned upward, pleased with her handiwork. It was unfortunate that she could not take credit for it herself, but at least she knew what she did, and Lovino would know as well, and that was enough for her at this point in time. The money that she knew awaited her certainly helped with this as well..she did this because she enjoyed it primarily, yes, but a girl had to make a living too!
It was music to her ears, to hear Lovino singing her praises. She knew that it was primarily because she'd done the work for him, but so long as he kept up his end of the bargain she would keep up hers. "It wasn't hard at all. The only thing hard was sitting around and waiting for the right moment to strike." That always was the hardest part for Alex..having to sit around and wait. She was not a patient woman in the least, but she could force herself to maintain patience if the payout was worth it..and in this case it was, in more ways than one. She eyed the envelope and took it from him as soon as he held it out. She was about to look through it when Lovino's voice distracted her, and her attention turned back toward him in curiosity.
Upon hearing the threat that Alex directed toward her, Alex let out a snort. Not because she did not take his threat seriously, but rather because he felt as though he needed to issue it in the first place. "My lips are sealed. The money assured that more than the threat." Again, not that she didn't think that Lovino would attempt to make good on that threat were she to betray him, but rather because she had no intent to do so in the first place. She got her cash. Unless Lovino did something to royally piss her off, she was content.
She opened the envelope and examined the contents, counting through the money to make sure that it matched the agreed upon amount. Once she was satisfied with this, she stuffed the money back into the enveloped and closed it, stuffing it into the pocket of her jacket then zipping her pocket closed. She did not want to risk the cash falling out of her pocket or someone reaching in and taking it from her. Though anyone who tried to rob her would be sorely mistaken, of course..
