Emerging from the restaurant that she worked at, Amelia let out a sigh of relief. Sometimes it was hard to maintain a job, even the part time one that she had, given her 'condition'. She hardly even considered it a curse anymore, the way she did when she was first 'cursed' by the sorcerer that she turned down over 400 years before. If he thought that he was going to put her in misery for all of eternity, he was dead wrong. That said, the fact that she could not spend more than 12 hours as a human without having to revert to her doe form for another 12 hours made planning things around her job a little more difficult, especially if she had a full 8 hour shift. That only left her 4 hours to tend to other things as a human before she had to hang out in the forest for another 12 hours. Which again, she didn't mind..but it got a bit like Cinderella when she got close to the 12 hour mark.
In this case though, Amelia only had a 4 hour shift during the lunch rush. That meant that she had plenty of time that she could spend just..checking things out. And honestly, Amelia enjoyed checking things out. It might be easier if she had a steady place to stay rather than reverting back to her doe form whenever she needed to sleep somewhere and going out to the woods nearby, but Amelia was eager to learn about the modern world..or attempt to keep up with it, rather. The years sort of melted together, especially when one spent at least half of her time as a doe. She wasn't even entirely sure what year it was, other than the vague idea that it was the 21st century. Amelia walked through the area, trying to decide where she wanted to go first.
She was so busy looking around at her options that she wasn't paying particularly close attention to where she was going, and then happened to run into someone. "Oh no, my bad, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going! I didn't hurt you did I?" The expression on Amelia's face was akin to a deer in headlights (..pun intended), though she relaxed considerably once she determined that the other female didn't look as though she'd attained any particularly bad injuries from the ordeal.
That said, Amelia had no idea how this other person was going to react to her. She knew that the public areas were full of some unsavory types. Amelia could be seen as naive, but she wasn't exactly stupid - She knew that there were other 'mystical' creatures (and potentially other cursed humans) around, and that a lot of them weren't exactly nice - whether they could help it or not. So while she was eager to possibly make a new friend, she was also cautiously aware that her new friend had the possibility of turning out to be a new enemy if things went astray
