Fresh Meat [Lucia]

Of all the people in her family, it seemed as if Lovino would be that guy and completely miss out on the entire ceremony. This fact did not quite sit with her well, she doubted that her older brother was doing something important and the fact that he couldn't find the time for her was very frustrating. That being said, Lucia wasn't exactly the model sibling either as she was quite oblivious to Lovino's own predicament at the moment, neither of them went to intrude in the other's business, thus both of them were quite unaware of just what the other sibling was doing. So when Amelia asks about her brother, Lucia found herself struggling to answer some of Amelia's simple questions.

"Yeah, he should be in his second year of studying and errr...... I'm not actually sure what he's studying, my parents said he's going to become a family doctor?"

Lovino was indeed heir to the family business of healthcare, Lucia wasn't bitter about this of course, what her brother was going to take up was a massive role within the family company, she was sure that she wouldn't do quite well, in fact it would probably turn into a disaster under her control. That being said, Lucia was a little unsure just how well her brother would do either. She wondered what Amelia's family background came from, although the other girl didn't ask about her family, she was genuinely curious about her newfound friend's upbringings, it would also help Lucia measure whether her family was weird or not.  

"Yeah, helping each other would be great!"

She was relieved at Amelia's offer to help. Lucia was genuinely terrified at the thought of just aimlessly walking up and down the campus all day to find out where she had to go, it was probably going to be far better than with a family member, friends helping one another out was just as effective.

"So.... Where do we start?"

Upon hearing Lucia's repsonse, Amelia frowned. It didn't seem as though Lucia and her brother had a particularly close relationship, something that bothered Amelia slightly as she and her sister were both close to one another and the thought of not knowing what her sister was studying and what she wanted to do with her life was strange. Especially since Lucia and Lovino seemed to be fairly close in age, if Lucia was in her first year in college and Lovino was a second year. How strange.

Her eyes widened a little when she mentioned that he was studying to become a doctor though. "Wow, he's got a lot on his plate then. Almost makes me feel..nevermind." She wasn't about to say it out loud, that she could relate to the feeling of having a lot on one's plate, because hearing that Lucia's brother was a doctor made her feel even less like she had a right to complain. She wasn't studying to be a doctor, she was studying astrophysics. It was a large course-load and Amelia was indeed overextending herself in the hopes of proving everyone wrong and that she was kickass and could do it all on her own, but..clearly he could handle it (or so she thought), so what was her excuse? She'd just have to up her caffeine intake so that she could cram more in. It would all be worth it in the end.

Then the conversation turned to something a lot more carefree, to the point where Amelia's seemingly perpetual smile actually gleamed in her eyes once more. She loved making friends. "Maybe he's getting a head start on his studying? I wouldn't be surprised. Or still in his dorm." Maybe she ought to get started on her own studying, start out ahead..but nah, as unaware as Amelia was of how harmful her study habits could be, she was well aware that her own need for socialization needed to be filled. Amelia didn't do well on her own. She was an extrovert, and she needed to spend time with others to feel replenished. And the last thing that she needed was to start feeling sapped of energy before they even found themselves too far into the term.

..would Lucia even know where her brother's dorm was? If she wasn't certain what classes he was taking, she might not know that either. Either way, she figured she would find out soon enough. Either Lucia would lead the way there, ooooor they'd have to do a bit of exploring to find the location of said dorm in the first place. Either way, they had some idea of what they were going to, it was just a matter of if they knew where they were going

Personally, Lucia found it embarrassing that her and Lovino didn't have as some would call, a "normal" relationship. She felt as if Lovino was very bitter about something that she had done, though obviously that wasn't it. It most likely had to do with the pressure Lucia's parents had put upon her brother, after all he was the heir to the family business. She wasn't too sure however, if Lovino even wanted to be a doctor, if she actually found the guy she would have it a whole lot easier. She just hoped that Lovino was doing as their parents wanted.  

"Yeah, he does... Sometimes I'm a little worried about him, it also explains why he's always a little angry."

Maybe the stress was effecting Lovino? After all, he did seem a little bitter when everyone else in the family could study whatever they wanted. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to see him? At least for today? Trouble was that she needed his help to sort out several things, so much to do yet so little time to do it, along with that, Lovino could also be slightly unpredictable in his attitude. She wondered if Lovino would even like the thought of another girl helping her to find out where his own dorm was anyway!

"Maybe.... I don't know... This shouldn't even be happening anyway. I don't really know what exactly he would be doing now. Hopefully he's not off campus."

You'd think being siblings she would know everything about her older brother and that was indeed the case in the past, but ever since Lovino went to college, things got unexpectedly icy, the constant nagging by their mum didn't help things either. If they were going to find Lovino they would have to annoyingly walk around exploring the campus, this thought wasn't so bad though seeing that she had found a new friend so quickly!

"So... Uh, where do we start looking?"
