The feeling of pride for being admitted into university was still with Lucia, as she walked a little nervously down the corridor. She was quite new to life in this new environment and still needed help getting through the basics after all, although Lucia did feel certainly a little saddened for leaving high school behind, she desperately wanted to feel as if her admission into university had been a new beginning in her life. And hopefully a pleasant one. She wasn't sure if any of her old friends were on campus, so meeting new people would be quite a struggle for the 18 year old, who usually embraced a sort of tribal mentality with sticking with those you know well, after all it has gotten her through the years relatively easily, being thrust into this new environment was slightly nerve racking for Lucia. None the less, some people had to grow up and make new friends or acquaintances... Though that could be for another day, the 18 year old was not exactly confident enough to mingle around complete strangers after all, so who better than your own brother?
Sure, it could be a little.... Awkward not to mention embarrassing for Lovino whom she assumed was quite well known throughout the university. After all, when she asked for some directions to her brother's room, Lucia found herself a little dumbfounded when at the mention of her brother's name there had been some snickering, before she was told where exactly to go. She wasn't sure what to make of this, however Lucia eventually forgot all about the incident as she approached Lovino's door. Though she was a little bit jealous that Lovino had always gotten more attention from their parents, she didn't hold it against her brother, after all he was going to take over the family business and become a doctor, right? Well, that's what their mother told them, it was almost an obsession with there parents that Lovino would become a doctor. Personally, she felt almost as if this demand was slightly.... forceful? However, Lucia was sure Lovino would listen to their parents, after all he had a lot of pressure placed on him to perform well in his subjects.
Knocking on the door of her brother's room, Lucia waited passively as she waited for a response from inside the room.
"Lovino! It's Lucia!"

"Lovino! It's Lucia!"
He had just finished up his own version of a treat when he heard the knocking on his door, followed by the familiar voice he admittedly didn't miss all that much. After all, he grew up listening to the same voice practically all his life; if anything, being able to get a break from it had been refreshing, though strange at the same time. His little sister, Lucia, had always been the one sibling Lovino found himself knowing the most of, having grown up with her and her being his full-blooded sibling, unlike his half-brothers. A grown passed the brother's lips as he debated shortly whether to go and open the door for her or just play as if he wasn't even there. It was only then that he remembered the phone call he received from his mother that morning, and had been made to promise to stay in his room for the day to help his sister get settled in. Admittedly, he hadn't been doing a very good job looking after her, though he knew of her enrollment into the same university as himself. He had his own reasons, of course, ones he didn't bother explaining to his parents, but it was still a reason. Cursing under his breath about his short memory which resulted in the loss of such schedule from his plans, he laid still on his bed, the effects of his treat and the purring stray feline next to him helping him at least keep his temper at bay.
"It's open..." He called out, just loud enough for his sister to hear. How the hell was he going to get out of this ridiculous mess and poor judgment? He seriously picked the worst timing to have a puff; his room still scented of it, his room was a mess as always (seriously what even WAS a carpet, again?), and the cords from his gaming consoles scattered about, ready to entangle whoever would be unwarned for a nasty trip.
Not that he really cared, he grumbled to himself as he used his index finger to rub between the cat's eyes, eliciting more purrs from the feline.
"Just get in and close the door on your way in."

Her mother had informed her that Lovino would be waiting to help her get around the school and inform her of all the basics. Not only had this not been true, but Lucia felt almost embarrassed to be trying to figure out everything now. Lovino had been nowhere to be seen! She was honestly quite annoyed earlier because of this, what kind of elder brother left their sister to fend for themselves in this new environment? Clearly, Lovino was exactly that kind of brother. The guy was always so grumpy, it wouldn't surprise her if he hadn't have changed his attitude to life at all, he was probably the same old Lovino who hated being nagged and was always seemingly hostile towards her! Lucia was still holding onto hope that he wasn't deliberately ditching her, maybe he was studying so hard he forgot to see her?
Letting out an audible sigh of relief, Lucia seemed to forgive Lovino for being a jerk from before, it was comforting to her that she wasn't going to have to meekly wait outside, waiting for a response from inside the room. What was also a relief was not having the wrong room, no doubt she would have very quickly abandoned the whole corridor in extreme embarrassment. Eager to not have relations between them worsen, she decided to not nag him in any way possible, after all this was an excellent start, perhaps things between them would be as bad as she thought? Taking a deep breath, she soon opened the door into Lovino's room. What she saw almost made her want to back away outside again.
Lucia was quite a neat freak like her mother, so opening the door to find what was practically a junkyard in her opinion was an unpleasant shock to her. She desperately tried to bottle up the tirade of disgust that almost seemed prepared for this kind of situation with success, after all, she had promised herself not to start anything bad with Lovino.... But already with only a few seconds being in her elder brother's room, the urge to say something was so strong... Forcing herself not to stare at the state of the room and just to not wonder where on earth the carpet went, she quickly closed the door and slowly turned towards her own brother. What.... What was that smell in the room?
"H-hey L-Lovino........ Ummmm....... Nice to.... See you." She struggled to say even that, watching as Lovino seemed to rub a cat.... Lucia couldn't even comprehend how her elder brother even survived in these conditions! Unsure of what to say next, Lucia awkwardly stood watching Lovino for a little while before finally blurting out a conversation starter, that on reflection that day to her at least, wasn't exactly the best. "So.... umm..... Nice cat and ..... R-r-r-room?"
Honestly, what was she going to say? He could probably tell that the state of the room deeply annoyed her, to be honest in her mind Lovino probably did this just to make her uncomfortable or even leave him in peace!

"H-hey L-Lovino........ Ummmm....... Nice to.... See you."
Lovino rolled his eyes at his sister's attempt of a greeting. There was no doubt in his mind she was already uncomfortable, and the studdered attempt yet again of a compliment that followed after a pause just made that all more apparent. Regardless, however, Lovino just kept himself rested on his bed, sheepishly glancing to his sister as she walked into the disaster known as his room. The elder brother only gave a small chuckle at her words and sat up from his laying position on the bed, making the cat also glance over finally to the newcomer in the room.
"You don't have to try and fake it." He said calmly, bringing his hand to his head and giving the back of it a small scratch. His hair was still untidied from the morning bedhead; hairs spurting out in all directions. "My room's a mess; there are no maids like back home to clean things up and it's quite tedious to do it yourself, just try living on your own for a month and you'll see." He then finally tilted his head towards her, raising a brow in question. "...I missed the dumb ceremony, didn't I? Doesn't matter... It's all needlessly long with useless blabbering for hours, anyway. It's less stressful to pass time with Lupo, instead." He said, patting the cat on the head.
It was only then that Lovino decided to move to the edge of the bed, using his hand to lazily attempt to comb down the messy hair with his fingers. It was clear he would need water to complete the task in such way, and with a small yawn, he began stepping over his maze of a mess and cord traps to head for the bathroom sink for the resource. Passing by his sister on the way, he gave her a disinterested glance before continuing on, asking on his way over.
"...Did you already find your own room, by the way?" Lucia Vargas

If you had to walk into a messy room the first thing you would notice is the sheer mess. Being usually a neat freak, Lovino's room seriously conflicted with Lucia's preference for neatness over a complete mess to the point where she was actively trying to avoid staring at her own brother, at least asking if the elder sibling was indeed serious that he would leave his room in its current state. Lovino's chuckle only succeeded in annoying her even further, did he not take this seriously at all? That thought that Lovino saw this as some cheap joke was not helping her mood.
"You don't have to try and fake it. My room's a mess; there are no maids like back home to clean things up and it's quite tedious to do it yourself, just try living on your own for a month and you'll see."
At least he was being honest that it was a mess, but surely he would have done something if he had a problem with the state of the room. She took Lovino's inaction as a sign that he didn't mind the mess, something she was still trying to come to terms with. But she could deal with all that.... eventually.
"...I missed the dumb ceremony, didn't I? Doesn't matter... It's all needlessly long with useless blabbering for hours, anyway. It's less stressful to pass time with Lupo, instead."
Lucia frowned, while Lovino was entitled to his own opinion, as a newcomer to the university she had found the ceremony though maybe a little of a snore, valuable for her own knowledge. She sighed, Lovino's attitude to some things was... difficult to deal with, her brother could be so insufferably stubborn.
"Still, you should have come.... Yes, I did find my room too, I had help from a friend."
Amelia's help was greatly appreciated for finding her room, so far her new friend was clearly more helpful than her own brother who was simply just playing with a cat, while Lucia was practically lost on what to do on the campus.

"...Yes, I did find my room too, I had help from a friend."
Lovino had to hold back from scoffing at the comment. He reached the sink and turned on the tap, wetting his hands before trying to comb down the mess in his hair. When that didn't do nearly anything other than just make the spikes stand out further, he rolled his eyes and just grabbed the sink's shower head and pulled the cord, getting his head wet while just grumbling about the comment his sister made about him should've still been at the dumb snorefest the university liked to call a ceremony. It was so long that by the time even in his own entrance ceremony took place, he remembered more than half the members around him falling asleep or playing on their phones. It honestly was a joke.
Pulling his head from out the water and turning off the tap after returning the nozzle head, Lovino grabbed the nearest bath towel in his reach and rubbed away on his head, hoping that'd be good enough in resolving his bedhead problem. It worked most of the time; he really didn't want to go through the trouble of shampooing and conditioning it when he didn't plan to leave his room today anyway. It wasn't like he was going to meet any new cute girls or anything.
"New friend, already? Not some bastard that tried to take interest in you cause of our parents?" He asked, knowing their last name was nothing to be laughed about. People knew who they were and there was no hiding the unique name when not many Italians came around the area. Coming out of the bathroom and easily strolling through the mess of his own room, Lovino sat back down on his own bed and began using the towel to try and keep his hair down, sighing as he did so.
"So, care to tell me the real reason you too ended up in this university? You're here to spy on me, right? It's something I can see mom and dad do."

Her comment that Lovino should've come didn't seem to be well received. Honestly, it may have been a joke to him, but to Lucia at least it was a the start to a new path that would shape her future, perhaps later she could see it as a joke, sadly she saw it as a joke now, due to Lovino's insistence on not going to the ceremony. Lucia couldn't honestly remember a time Lovino wasn't stubborn or this hardheaded, she knew for a fact that Lovino did have a .... almost intense pressure to perform from their parents, Lucia very much doubted that mom was helping matters at all.
"New friend, already? Not some bastard that tried to take interest in you cause of our parents?"
Scowling back at her brother, she lost no time in firing back at Lovino angrily.
"At least my new friend was helpful. And no, they doesn't know about mom... or dad, they just kind of..... went up to me."
Even to herself, Amelia just seemingly appearing out of nowhere was a little suspicious, but after talking to one another the two of them were in fact friendly with one another and the other girl seemed uninterested in wealth, but rather companionship. At least Amelia seemed trustworthy, after today, Lovino helping her with anything seemed like a very outlandish prospect, by the state of his room and his general attitude weren't helping make matters better. The last thing she needed was some unreliable elder brother getting constantly in her way. Lucia's went mentally blank however, when Lovino continued:
"So, care to tell me the real reason you too ended up in this university? You're here to spy on me, right? It's something I can see mom and dad do."
Annoyingly. he wasn't wrong. Before leaving, she was told to keep an eye on Lovino, tell her mom everything he was doing, to almost survey his every move. Her elder brother seemed to be quite aware of something that their mom would organize. Sure, her parents thought it would have been easier for Lucia to simply attend the same university as her brother, but the whole espionage angle made things far more appetizing for their parents.
"Lovi- They just thought I needed help on the first day..... And um, you were supposed to help me, but they didn't tell me to spy on you at all. That's..... crazy."
