[POLL] New Character Options

We'd also like to get a minimum of 2/3 of our member-base (10 members) voting in this poll, as it reflects a big decision that will affect the site. If this minimum turnout is not achieved within the timeframe, we will be dropping the proposed change that was made earlier, and leaving things as they are currently (1P & OCs only). That being said, if you would like to see new character options introduced in some form or another especially, please encourage other members to get on somehow & make their vote count. 

Just so you guys are aware as well:
In the event that the option to allow applying for 2P, Nyo, & 2P!Nyo characters is most popular, we'll put up a follow-up poll to see what dynamic of that is preferred (ie. all three options, just 2P, just Nyo, etc.).

Since there's no way of really knowing who all is following/reading the points made about this in the Suggestions/Concerns thread, I've compiled a list of points made so far, to sum it up/serve as a TL;DR.

Allowing 2Ps/Nyos/2P!Nyos to Apply
-would grant more freedom to members to choose based on what muses they have already
-might attract new members
-might require dropping a character if already at the 3 character limit
-suggests that 2Ps/Nyos/2P!Nyos exist as separate & are not just twists in canon characters

Allowing Current Characters to play as 2Ps/Nyos/2P!Nyos in AUs through Mini-Bios
-would probably result in more freedom than an application would, since mini-bios aren't really screened by admins
-would not require character dropping to play if already at the 3 character limit
-could be an opportunity to try one's hand at their current characters in either of these forms
-suggests that 2Ps/Nyos/2P!Nyos are spin-offs of canon characters
-could in fact stand alone in an AU without their canon counterpart, as long as 1P presence on the forum doesn't disappear in favour of these alternates **this was changed from the proposal in light of feedback

Both ways would result in bringing interpretations of these alternates to the forum.
Both ways would involve the choice to take part or not. Not everyone will necessarily benefit or make use of either way being implemented.

Just as a heads up, a compromise is in the works & will be presented since votes were closely split between Option 2 & Option 3 and the poll failed to show a clear winning preference. We will try to incorporate the feedback we've received so far from the Suggestions/Concerns thread as best we can in deciding what this compromise will look like, but understand that, realistically, it won't be able to meet every preference that was voiced.

The compromise will be posted by the 10th along with a poll to see if it is something members can get behind or not. If this compromise ends up being rejected, Timeless will just remain as is, & keep its stance on 2Ps & Nyos as outlined in the forum's current rules.
