It was about midday, with some places letting their employee's out of work. Or some just heading out for a break..which was what he was doing, though he doubted many would notice he was gone. The toy-shop was going slow, and there was enough people working there to help someone. Which left Nikolai enough time to take his break...which meant having a few shots of whisky. After calling a break, he hopped on his Harley Davidson and sped downtown.
If one knew his occupation, a Santa Clause..basically, one would think he looking the way did was ridiculous. When pictures Father winter, they don't expect seeing a twenty something year old man in jeans, black boots and a brown swayed jacket...or riding a motorcycle. Pushing those thoughts aside, he sped down looking for a place to drink...
Soon he found a local bar, and slowly he pulled up front. Shutting off the bike, letting the kick-stand down, the brunette pulled off his helmet and examined the place.
Well...it doesn't look bad here.
It was simple...Not a run down, rough place but decent in size. So far he couldn't see shady looking people entering, and he didn't sense anything off about it. One upside to be him...he tended to sense when 'malevolent' things were around, probably because he was considered ..not evil? Nikolai would never know, but it came in handy when trying to avoid confrontation and doing something to reveal himself.
Dismounting, he set his helmet away before heading inside. Pushing the door open, his eyes scanned someplace for him to sit..It was quaint, with a few people already there -some in suits- laughing and conversing. It was slightly warm for him, with all the body heat and being in one place. It wasn't as bad as how a packed place would feel, but still the heat was unnerving. Sighing, he decided to go and sit at the bar. Leaning against the bar, he waved down the bartender. The older man caught sight, and headed his way, wiping a glass in his hands. "Yeah? What'll it be, kid?"
Nikolai raised a brow at that, slightly amused. "I'll have a Jack and coke. Light ice.."
In moments the man left, and came back with the whisky and coke. Grinning, Nikolai took and drank a long sip...It was no Rakia, or Vodka..but considering he didn't want to get too buzzed before going back to work it'd do.
Sighing, he closed his eyes and leaned his cheek against his fist. Nothing like a good drink before work... But, even as the thought flitted through his mind..another thought came to him. It'd probably be less lonely if he had friends to drink with. But, he was cautious about doing that. The last time...
His hand gripped the glass, unknowingly making it frost up. No thinking about that now...he's not here.
Maybe he should try and make friends...if not at work, probably going some place to interact with others his age. Err..well other adults..
Ah..the struggles of being new to a town...But with a shake of his head, he looked to his drink and smiled a bit and mumbled under his breath. "Down the hatch.."
