Please consider the following if you intend to utilize the Bounty System
- Humans/Hunters and Mythics each have their own bounty boards at different locations. The Humans/Hunters may use the one marked "Bounty Board (Hunters/Humans)". Mythics may use the one entitled "Bounty Board (Mythics)".
- Humans/Hunters and Mythics can post in their respective boards to either:
1. Pursue a Bounty.
2. Claim their prize for a successful hunt
- Humans/Hunters: This includes hunts that you play out yourself against some non-member mythic.
- Mythics: This includes NPC kills/victims for you malevolent guys.
3. Anonymously notify the public of a threat (which...may or may not be justified). - Some bounties may require more investigative methods - you aren't ALWAYS going to be given a definite name and a physical description, but you might be given some vague details that you have to piece together yourself.
- You may not take up more than one OFFICIAL (ie posted) bounty at a time. Additionally, hunts do not always have to be encompassed in only one thread. They may span several threads over a period of time. The conclusion of a hunt, if between members, must be decided upon and threaded out, however. Should a hunt go on for too long and the character wish to take on another, they may drop the current task and take up another by posting in the proper bounty board.
- Characters may pursue the same perpetrator if two players have agreed to team up and take them on. Otherwise, it's all one-on-one. (Special event circumstances may prove to be exceptions, however).
- In order to claim one's prize, you MUST provide a link to the thread in which the perpetrator was incapacitated/captured. Again, this can be an NPC interaction or a thread with another member's character.
- Since you are not allowed to kill other members' characters, in order for your character to receive the bounty reward, they must somehow subdue and bring in the other character ALIVE for just punishment of their deeds. Bringing a person in and punishing them does not always have to be rp'd out, but the punishment should be known and understood by the perpetrator. Additionally, in order to keep them from being killed at 'headquarters' escape is always possible. Because of this, it is encouraged for the punishment and its effects be either stated or hinted at in subsequent RPs. However, NPCs are given a pass, and you can off as many of those as you like if you need to sate your character's bloodlust.
- A successful 'hunt' will earn +2 reputation while a failed hunt will only be given +1 rep. Forfeighted hunts will result in 0+ rep. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR POSTING IN THE BOUNTY BOARDS TO CLAIM THE REPUTATION AND THEN UPDATING YOUR BIO ACCORDINGLY. So please, don't go giving yourself more than you deserve... We'll be watching. Special circumstances may occur, however.
