Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra AU/Crossover

AU Name: Avatar: The Last Airbender (Hetalia Cross-Over AU); ATLA

Plot or Explanation of AU:
This Au would take place after the first series (with Aang as the avatar) but before the second (with Korra).

During this period, things are finally starting to calm down in the nations and people are rebuilding. However, some sects of the fire nation (among other groups) still seek dominance, and there are some people that have yet to realize the news of the Avatar's victory. As such, there are still some minor quarrels in the lands between different peoples due to misunderstandings and a lack of information.

However, through the years there are some new technologies starting to develop to push society forward (these technologies are still crude and in the prototype stages, but seem to have steampunkish flare to them). Regardless, change brings both good and bad and with the rise of technology, there has also the beginnings of a faction that claim to be anti-benders which are comprised solely of non-benders.

Will the power-hungry sects rise again? Will the anti-benders manage to get a hand-hold in society and become a driving force? During this crucial period where there peace for some and turmoil for others, only time will tell.

I'm still thinking on how best to fit Toni into this AU, but Mattie!muse really wants to have an air bison names Kuma that he can say "yip yip" too, aha. So I believe I'll be on board with this AU.

mhm, Francis i think would be water. I'm supportive of this one, even if just so he can use water to caress someone's face.

If it wasn't for so many fire things associated with Tonio already, I'd say fire bender XD but yeah... I'm kinda having the same issue with Marcello and where he'd be. I STILL would love to see that OR OR EVEN you could have Kuma as a polar bear dog like Korra has!!

Francis as a waterbender I can definitely see... It' graceful and fluid (as are the moves associated with it) and yes. Yes yes. Caressing people's faces with water or just putting on a pretty show. I can see him doing that <3

I'm 100% sure Ludwig is going to be an earth bender with a specialty in metal bending.

AAlso, instead of the completely in between idea, I've been thinking...  I'm really considering saying that in this AU the events related to the series won't be exact. Like... yeah we can have one of the nations having tried to take over.. probably fire since they are most aggressive, but maybe not actually have "Aang" and "Korra" and the other main characters. Just unnamed avatars/prominent peoples so we have more leeway with roles and playing out the universe. Does that make sense?

Lili would be water bender; I think Eliza fits Earth.

And I think the idea with non-specific avatars makes more sense. That way, we're not really trying too hard to fit things in, if that makes sense. We don't have to follow plotlines exactly, that way, which would allow for some discrepancy.

so many water benders. if need be I could move Francis to air, he is full of hot air after all pft. But yes, a non-specific avatar would work the best.
