Pirate!Verse

About/Plot:
This is a human AU, set in the Golden Age of Piracy (approx. 18th century). Though the central port-town in this AU is located on an island in the Atlantic that is opportunely located to catch ships of all kinds coming in on the currents, RP can technically take place in any port or sea worldwide. The major opposing forces in this AU are the pirates and the navy due to increased illegal activity (i.e. pillaging, plundering, typical dicey n' bloody business really) on the pirates' part, though any role that can fit into this time period should technically be playable (i.e. port inhabitant, mercenary, etc.). Characters not directly involved with the navy or pirates can choose to remain neutral or to support one side/morality over the other, if they so wish.

A Caution to Seaside Towns and Ports
All citizens and members of the Royal Navy currently stationed in seaside towns and ports are advised to be on high alert. A number of pirate raids have been taking place within the past two weeks and there is no sign of such attacks ceasing any time soon. Hide your wife, hide your gold, they are plundering everything in sight.

About/Plot:
This AU is based off the drawings Himaruya did of the nations in special outfits for a deck of cards. It is first come, first serve for positions, however; that is, you may request a role that your character does not hold in the original drawings by Himaruya.
- There are four factions in this AU – Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades. At the moment, there is a peace between the nations; yet there is tension brewing.
- The Jokers – Chaos and Order – are two of the most powerful beings in this AU. They are immortal, and charged with creating and maintaining their respective roles.
- This is a medieval AU, but there are some modern-type inventions, such as lighting, indoor plumbing, and a small myriad of other similar things. When in doubt, ask Lilz.
- Hearts: Ruled by Ludwig, King of Hearts.
- Diamonds: Ruled by Matthew and Lili as King (Regent) and Queen, respectively. They are not married. (…yet)
- Spades: Ruled by Alfred and Arthur as King and Queen respectively.
- Clubs: Ruled by Elizaveta as Queen.
- Jokers: Antonio (Order) and Marcello (Chaos)

Their Hearts are Burdened
Though peace has been longstanding between the four Kingdoms, there is currently a rumor within the Kingdom of Hearts that a small group of rebels is seeking to dethrone the king. No one really knows where the group came from or who their leader is, but rumor has it that they seek to put the "True King of Hearts" on the throne. Rumor or no, it is definitely something that has raised quite a bit of tension within a short period of time.
Missing Monarch
Diamond Kingdom's been pretty unstable these last few months. Their king has gone missing, forcing their kind but hesitant prince to rule in his stead. The royal advisers have also taken advantage of the king's absence & chosen a suitable queen for him should he return, going so far as to publically declare her his betrothed & educate her on royal affairs/etiquette. As for the missing king, any promising news/leads would be deeply appreciated & rewarded, as he is dearly missed.

About/Plot:
The world of Valara is unique from the other celestial homes in that its inhabitants include a variety of beasts, spirits, and humanoids. With its three main land masses—Faedor, the realm of the Fae and mythical beings; Astrador, the kingdom of man; and Etrya, the land of Elementals—it is indeed a diverse and wonderful place. However, not all is sunshine and rainbows in this land that has been forgotten by time. To the south, just off the coast of the smallest inhabitable island of Uslax, lies the perilous Umbraedor. It is here, after trekking through a dark forest and up the side of a steep mountain, that one will find the portal to the Nether—the Underworld. From this gate, deemed the Gate of the Eight Skulls, more insidious creatures are said to spring forth and roam the world. However, there have been rumors that more angelic creatures have spawned from this site as well…
This AU focuses on a medieval-renaissance fantasy setting where members may choose to be a mythical creature, practitioner of magic/mystic arts, or normal humans. Because of the numerous towns and kingdoms, there is some conflict that has arisen…especially due to a few ambitious nobles wishing to claim more land as their own and issues between man and the land’s more magical inhabitants.

This is a human AU revolving around university life, socially and academically. There are a multitude of degrees to pursue as with all universities, but if characters are unsure of the specifics of their ambitions, they can enroll in a year of general study. The campus also offers a couple different living arrangements for its students based on room-style preference and number of roommates desired, as well as plenty of club activities and sports teams. It is not really located anywhere specific, but it is welcoming to students of all ethnic backgrounds.... so feel free to apply today~.
