Hello loves!
This month we're aiming to have at least one event dedicated to fluffiness, in tribute to Valentine's Day being this month as well. Lili & I are vaguely looking at the week following the 14th, but more importantly we're wondering what new & exciting things y'all would like to do~
Would livestreaming a well-known movie & roleplaying our character(s) reactions to it while potentially cuddling love-interest characters in the spirit of what month it is be of interest at all? If so ideas for movies would be greatly appreciated! We could always do something else or as well, such as a cbox party during that week, so ideas for something like that are welcome as well, or any other alternatives to these proposed ideas!
PS- Stay tuned for a thread on general event ideas in the near future that'll apply for the remainder of the year. This one here's just looking for fluffy Valentine-themed ideas, since the time for that is fast approaching~

As a note, I have most Disney movies and am willing to stream them for you guys. I also have several other movies - if requested, I can type up a list and post it here.

An event for Valentine's day week would be the sweetest idea.
If we decide to go for a c-box party and a movie streaming I'll do my best to be in.
(though maybe we could also have a thread up for who misses the live action?)

You have no clue how amusing reactions could be. I like that idea, actually. Just a matter of seeing how it'd work with all of us.
I'm also fond of the whole thread + Cbox for those who are unable to attend the cbox party/interactions.
...ok this is just a random hahah thought, but what if, say for kicks and giggles along with the fluffiness, characters' names were put in a hat... And then two were drawn at a time and boom. Congratulations this is now your blind date. Now that could have some hilarious/awkward interactions. You could use a random generator to create a list and pair them up two by two going down the list. This sort of thing could be done in threads
Another fun thing we could possibly try is the famed 7 Minutes in Heaven (or Hell). Basically the same method as mentioned above, but instead of a full date, two lucky contestants get shoved into a closet for 7 minutes (or so) and either get a smooch, or possibly slapped across the face. This one's more geared toward Cbox interactions, however. And the actual 'minutes' can vary with regards to IRL time--just don't get too detailed
That's all I can really think of apart from the aforementioned stuff and the normal fluff that is to ensue. Dunno if you guys like those ideas, but there you go. *nods sagely*

I definitely think that, if we can agree on a date & time, we should give streaming a movie & RPing character reactions alongside it a try. If it doesn't prove too hard dividing attention like that & if there aren't many technical issues setting up & viewing the stream, we may consider doing it again sometime.
There should be a fluffy thread component to these events for those who may miss things, I agree. I really like the idea of drawing pairs of names & having blind dates occurring in the threads in the spirit of Valentine's day, perhaps as a solution to that. Those posts wouldn't necessarily have to be long in length either, which'd maybe help in not leaving a date hanging/waiting on replies. But the speed & overall length of time the blind date threads takes to unfold would ultimately be up to the RPers involved I'd say, because who knows? Something might come of these set-ups & whatever that something is might turn out to be fun to explore, aha. So maybe I should ask around and see who would be up for putting their character(s) into this, via PM or thread?
Would this work as a thread component for those who miss out on the chatbox randomness? I say chatbox randomness because aha, usually... what starts out as simply "there's a party going on, everybody get in the cbox" kinda just goes with the flow & morphs into... whatever it morphs into. There isn't much structure to them as we've had them 'til now, so I'm not sure how they'd go if translated into threads.
That being said, I'm not opposed to the randomness, but ideas like 7 Minutes in Heaven/Hell are good for giving us a bit of direction for official cbox events like this one if we're indeed doing a party. I'm not quite sure what we could have done instead for Valentine's, aha... but I'm sure for future official events we could come up with fresh alternatives for cbox shenanigans~

Can I just say that I'm a fan of ALL these ideas and would definitely be willing to participate in any or all that we end up going with. (Despite the fact that we have no Rome for Godomar to push away at arm's length, haha.)

You know what I think? Because Godomar has no special somepony to cuddle with during this chickflick business, he will probably be covering Johann's eyes and ears during many parts because he's too young to see boobies? It's been a while since he parented - idk.

I just sent out a PM concerning a Blind Date Event, so please check your inbox for that & keep in mind that by agreeing to take part, please don't do things half-ass. Put the moves on your date, make things cutesy, botch things up in the most hilarious way if that's your angle, etc. but above all else, when the time comes have fun.
On another note, I'm wondering a few things:
- What movie do we want to try streaming? We were thinking maybe something familiar to most people, that won't distract us too much from RPing reactions alongside it.
- What time of day (& speaking of which, what day) would work best for this? We were looking at dates between the 15th & 23rd, keeping in mind timezone differences as well.
- How long are we running the cbox party? Would a three-day span work, with off & on RP depending on who's around? If so, which days would work?
- And finally... do we have any volunteer hosts for the party? Just figured I'd ask~
This list is partly for my own benefit so I don't forget to get these kinks ironed out, but if you've got movie/days/times/host preferences you can definitely let us know here & we'll see what we can work out!

I can type out a list of movies that I have, if everyone wants. I'd suggest something Disney, since I have a feeling that the majority of us have seen at least the majority of them. I can also add in any romantic comedy movies I have. I will be gone from the 14-17, at some point, but I'll let you guys know more of my schedule when I get closer.

Basically for me, the best days would be any Friday through Sunday. With the exception of me getting out of the studio at 3 on Friday, I should otherwise be free all weekend (and pretty much any weekend).

I just remembered... Valentine's Day falls upon the weekend of Katsucon. I'll be out of town Thursday, Feb 13th through Sunday, Feb 16th. So depending on the date you fellas settle on I may or may not be able to participate. Tartar sauce...

Well I am not sure what movie we could all watch XP, anything romantic ..or Disney is good! but as for what times work for me, I can be on here on Monday through Friday during 12-4:00. And maybe six after I have already cooked dinner, eaten and no one needs me to help them. : ) |

I'm getting the sense that toward the end of the week might be best for the movie & cbox party, correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe Friday or Saturday for the movie (not sure what time) and the party maybe running Friday-Sunday or maybe even Thursday-Sunday? Since there are people maybe only available weekdays and others solely weekends it might be best to hit that juncture....
Would that be a reasonable assessment? Or do y'all have any further ideas?

Movie-wise, can I vote for the lady and the tramp? (The spaghetti scene. I mean. XD)
I agree on running the party from thursday to sunday - the longer the better, so more people can join at least for a while.
As for the day, somewhere in the weekend would probably be best.
